Capacity-Building

The capacity-building cross-cutting team’s role is to provide strategic coordination, sharing, oversight and facilitation of support to capacity-building interventions at national and provincial levels. Knowledge and skills gaps, limited livelihood opportunities, weak institutional capabilities and lack of coordination between the different levels of government hinder effective implementation of environment conservation efforts in PNG. To address these gaps, the capacity- building team will leverage the expertise and available resources of its partners to carry out capacity-building programs and activities that empower target audiences.

Tasks may include trainings, workshops, development of materials and manuals, standardization and institutionalization of training programs, creating partnerships for scholarships and internships, and supporting the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team in monitoring and capturing these activities and results.
